Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a referral?
No, you can book directly with us without a GP or consultant referral. If you have been referred by another healthcare professional, we are happy to work alongside them as part of your rehabilitation.
What should I expect at my first appointment?
Your first appointment includes a detailed discussion about your symptoms, medical history and goals, followed by a comprehensive assessment. We'll explain our findings, answer your questions and develop a personalised rehabilitation plan tailored to your needs.
Do you only treat sports injuries?
Not at all. While we work with athletes and active individuals, we also support people with everyday musculoskeletal pain, post-operative rehabilitation, long-term health conditions, older adults and those requiring specialist rehabilitation.
What conditions do you treat?
We support people with a wide range of musculoskeletal and movement-related conditions, including sports injuries, back and neck pain, tendon problems, joint injuries, post-operative rehabilitation, balance and mobility issues, age-related changes in physical function, and rehabilitation following illness or cancer treatment. We also work with golfers, active individuals, older adults and people living with long-term health conditions or physical disabilities.
What should I wear?
Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move easily. Depending on the area being assessed, you may be asked to expose the affected joint or limb, so clothing that allows easy access is helpful.
How long are appointments?
Initial assessments are typically 60 minutes, allowing plenty of time for a thorough assessment and discussion. Follow-up appointments are usually 45 minutes, although this may vary depending on your individual needs.
Will I receive exercises to do at home?
Yes. Rehabilitation doesn't stop when you leave the clinic. We'll provide personalised exercises and clear guidance to help you continue progressing between appointments.
What if I can't travel to the clinic?
We offer virtual consultations which include a home exercise plan for you. You can access these exercises via the 'Rehab Guru' app which is free to download.
